How It Started

I've been going to Santa Pod with my Mum and Dad since I was 4 or 5 years old.

The smell of the fuel and the noise of the cars really drew me in, and I loved watching the racing.

I started with go-karting and earned my K1 licence.

After that I couldn't wait to start racing a junior dragster.

Early Influence Brett Featherstone, Pro ET — always kind and happy to answer Oscar's questions about racing.

02 / RACE DAY

What Race Day Feels Like

I feel really nervous because I know if I lose, I'm out. But I'm also really excited because I get to race my junior dragster. When I put my helmet on and drive up to the start line, I just try to do my best.

If I see the win light in my lane at the end of the race, I'm absolutely buzzing and feel like I'm on top of the world.

03 / THE MACHINE

Tornado

A Junior Stock Dragster with a 205cc Briggs & Stratton engine, capable of a 52mph top speed. His favourite thing is that it's his own race car — and he can't wait to get it wrapped with his own design.

04 / PART OF THE FAMILY

Racing With Carl Cox Motorsport

Carl Cox Motorsport sponsors the junior dragster class. I'm really happy to have Carl supporting our sport because it helps junior racers like me — my Dad tells me he's a really big DJ!

Carl brings loads of support and excitement to our class. It's amazing that someone like him believes in junior drag racing — it makes me feel really lucky to be part of the family.
